Temporary Employee for Student Involvement and Connections Western New England University is hiring for a full-time Temporary Employee for Student Involvement and Connections position through March or early April.
- Managing inquiries and outreach from first-year students and families
- Monitor Student Involvement email
- Advise 2027 Class Council
- Divide club and org events among staff to ensure that most, if not all, student events have a staff member present for troubleshooting and support
- Represent Student Involvement & Connections (SI&C) at various campus events such as student employment fair, Distinguished Golden Bear Awards, and other campus programs/initiatives
- Support office programming such as student leader trainings, senior events, senior week, Golden Bear Weekend, graduation, etc.
- Assist with daily walk-ins in the SI&C office when student workers are not available or need additional assistance
- Execute January orientation, SOAR days
- Manage recruitment and hiring process for OGLs
- Reviewing applications, holding group process and individual interviews
- Monthly credit card reconciliations
- Ordering apparel and supplies for office and orientation programs
- Create weekly event calendars to distribute division-wide and advertise on campus
- Monitor Coursedog room reservation system
- Approving student worker timecards
- Supervising student workers (social media team)
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree. Experience in Higher Education, specifically Student Activities preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in an active office environment with a diverse constituency and high student traffic.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, civil and concise manner.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a variety of University constituents such as but not limited to: entertainment vendors, parents, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
