Position Description Advertised Job Summary We seek applications for a non-tenure track 9-month Temporary Instructor appointment to begin Fall 2023. The successful candidate will join a department dedicated to the use of curriculum that is culturally responsive to all students. Responsibilities of the successful candidate include: 1) primarily teaching undergraduate courses; 2) delivering course content including courses with a focus on birth through age three; and 3) supporting the service needs of the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program, department, and College of Education. Qualifications Required Qualifications: a) candidates must have an earned Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; b) experience with online teaching/learning formats (e.g., Blackboard, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and c) ability to incorporate equity pedagogies around school/community-based learning and professional development is required. Candidates must have expertise in equity paradigms in education and early childhood. Preferred Qualifications: At least three years teaching experience in early childhood settings which serve children of color and children from lower socioeconomic statuses, and experience teaching undergraduate students is desired.
