Consilio/LOD ELS Talent Solution is seeking a Temporary PARALEGAL for small DC law firm focused on regulatory and legislative matters in energy and communications.

Evening law students available for 35-40 hours/week, recent JDs with relevant experience may apply but the position will remain a Paralegal position with Paralegal responsibilities supporting firm attorneys.

DETAILS:

Must have strong, recent Bluebook and cite-checking skills (no exceptions)

• Target start date: ASAP following successful interview
• Estimated duration: 3 months
• Hybrid: Mon-Thurs, work in office. Remote on Fridays.
• 35-40 hours/week.
• Hourly pay rate: $35/hour. No OT expected.
• Must have experience as a Paralegal in a law firm conducting proofreading and performing Bluebooking and cite-checking
• Must have excellent communication, proofreading, research skills Litigation experience in a law firm environment needed; FERC experience a plus
• Interview, references and background check will be required

Duties include:

• Assist in preparation of briefs/pleadings, consisting largely of cite-checking/proofreading

• Monitor cases and agency filings

• Prepare reports for attorneys and clients on industry trends, updates, and deadlines

• Actively listen to and report on regulatory commission meetings

• Respond to research requests

• Assist in discovery and trial preparation as needed
