The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) assists with assessment and provides intervention services to assist families in fostering the growth and development of children, birth through age three, who have been identified as having developmental delays by the state coordinating/funding agency, Tennessee Early Intervention Systems (TEIS). Work is typically performed in the family's home or within natural settings in the community, such as preschool or childcare environments. Services may also occur in a clinic setting. Behavioral services and support are offered within a family-centered, strength-based philosophy and approach. The RBT will participate as a team member to support the development and implementation of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for families in the Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee area.
Specific job duties include:
* Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments as directed by the supervisor.
* Collect and record data on client behavior.
* Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents, and staff.
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and family.
* Carry out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
* Maintain strict confidentiality.
* Participate in routine staff meetings and professional development.
* Attend training to acquire further knowledge.
* Other duties as assigned.
Position is 8-25 hours per week, scheduling and location varies.
Minimum Position Qualifications
* Certificate, Bachelor's, or Associate's Degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
* Completed 40-hr RBT training.
* BACB Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred.
* Relevant experience preferred.
* Must have valid driver's license and private, fully insured vehicle.
* Must have TB health screening with negative results and complete an FBI fingerprinting process within first 30 days of employment. (Cost of these requirements are the responsibility of the applicant).
Special Conditions
Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to independently control own workflow and actively contribute support to team members.
* Required competency with laptop computers, iPads, and Microsoft Office.
* Background check and sex offender registry clearance prior to employment.

The usual noise and vibration level in the work environment is moderate, as would be expected in an office setting.
In the process of conducting home visits, the employee may be exposed to many different home environments and rapidly changing traveling conditions.
