Compensation: $19 - $20 per hourThe Temporary Shipping and Receiving Clerk position in Portland, Maine is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing packages in a fast-paced environment. This role requires good organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when packing, weighing, and labeling items. The position is temporary for approximately 6-8 weeks due to medical leave, but there is potential for creating a permanent role for the right candidate. Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Prior hands-on experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational manuals.
- Must be able to work independently and follow work plans.
Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Pay Rate: $19/Hr. to $20/Hr.
- Start Date: November 12th for a 2-day overlap with the current employee
Physical Demands:
- Requires long periods of standing or sitting, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to mechanical parts and chemicals; PPE such as masks, gloves, and safety glasses will be required.
