Under general supervision of the Cash Manager, the Cash Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for preparing timely and accurate bank reconciliations. The individual will research settlement discrepancies, exceptions, and other out of balance conditions found. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all out of balance conditions are resolved appropriately and timely. Responsibilities Handle day to day cash related issues for approximately 200+ dental offices. Reconcile monthly bank statements in the accounting system and the patient system. Enter journal entries in internal accounting system to compensate discrepancies, fees, and any type of refunds or returns. Contact Operations Managers to clear up discrepancies in revenue system. Work with other departments to ensure accuracy of payments posted to patient accounts. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve reconciliation processes for greater operational efficiency, as well as improvement opportunities for other processing areas to minimize risk of error and research time. Prepare and submit various monthly reports for management review. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications 3-5 years' experience in cash management and/or banking and accounting Bachelor's degree in related field in lieu of degree 4+ years Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or equivalent experience Experience with Oracle FMS Cash Management and Cloud Based solutions Knowledge of QSI software applications High volume background in banking and accounting Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Detail oriented, organized, process focused, problem solver, self-motivated, proactive, ambitious, customer service focused Ability to draw conclusions with limited information Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community Proficiency with Excel, MS Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and Database Management Application software Strong math skills Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Tuition Reimbursement 401K Paid time to volunteer in your local community Pacific Dental Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
