Minimum Requirements:High school diploma and one year experience. Minimum of 21 years of age. Must be a sworn Peace Officer employed by an agency in the Kentuckian Region. USA Citizenship at time of appointment. Possess a Valid Driver's license. To be eligible for appointment candidates cannot have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime as set forth in 18 U.S.C. & 992 (g) (8) and (9). Successful completion of background investigation.
Position Description:The Sworn Officer positions will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all patrons attending athletic events hosted by the University of Louisville. This position will act as a deterrent for all crime and violence, while also providing on-site law enforcement, crowd control and traffic assistance when needed. This position will report directly to the Detail Commander.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide security and deter violence and crime at assigned athletic events.
- Arrest of on-site offenders as necessary.
- Direct flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at assign location.
- Ensure the safety and security of all patrons at assigned athletic events.
- Assist in emergency situations, including but not limited to medical and weather emergencies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Be a sworn Peace Officer employed by an agency with arrest powers in Jefferson County Kentucky.
