Job Description
Perform collaborative research with the structural ceramics research group at the Missouri University of Science and Technology under the supervision of Professor Bill Fahrenholtz. The primary research areas are synthesis, densification, and characterization of boride, carbide, and nitride ceramics. The project focuses on the effects of composition and microstructure on the hardness and mechanical properties of high entropy ultra-high temperature ceramics.
Shift
Temporary Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
* Masters Degree in Materials Science
* 2-3 years experience in primary research areas such as synthesis, densification, and characterization of boride, carbide, and nitride ceramics
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring amount for this position has been established as $20.00 per hour.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
