Job Title: Tennis Center Supervisor Location: South Fulton Tennis CenterReports To: Recreation ManagerJob Summary: The Tennis Center Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the tennis facility, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment forpatrons. This role involves managing staff, organizing programs and events, and maintaining facilities and equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and schedule tennis center staff, including coaches, instructors, and maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate and oversee tennis programs, lessons, and events for players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Maintain tennis facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and properly equipped.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, supplies, and merchandise and place orders as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the tennis center.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patron inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Promote the tennis center through marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of USTA (United States Tennis Association) rules, regulations, and programs.
  • Understanding of Alta (Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association) league play and requirements.
  • Familiarity with Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) and their role in promoting tennis in the community.
  • Have an understanding of the Metro Atlanta area tennis community.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sports or operations management, recreation, or a related field (preferred not required).
  • At least 10 years of experience in playing tennis and tennis facility operations (required).
  • Previous experience in tennis center management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
