The Department of Exercise Science at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is hiring for a Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to professional markets, careers, and social activities. East Stroudsburg University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position with the Department of Exercise Science beginning August 2024. The Exercise Science Department offers Bachelor of Science and two Master of Science degrees in Exercise Science. Positions typically fill at the Assistant Professor rank; however, an appointment at the Associate Professor level is possible for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience. Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate will have teaching responsibilities in the CAAHEP-accredited Undergraduate Exercise Science Program and Graduate Clinical Exercise Physiology Program.
* Area of teaching emphasis will be in the area of Applied Exercise Physiology and Clinical Exercise Physiology.
* The standard workload for teaching faculty is 12 hours per term, with a maximum of three (different course) preparations.
Required Qualifications:
* A terminal degree in Exercise Science or related field is required.
* Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program are encouraged to apply, but they should make clear their progress toward completion.
* Finalist must successfully complete an on-campus interview, which includes both a teaching demonstration and a department interview.
