ABOUT THIS POSITIONOver 48 million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in 2023, one of the busiest airports in the country in the nation's 5th largest city. Sky Harbor is the largest of three airports in the Phoenix Airport System (Phoenix Sky Harbor, Deer Valley,and Goodyear airports) which is operated by the City of Phoenix Aviation Department and has an economic impact over $44 billion annually.The City of Phoenix Aviation Department is seeking a highly motivated team members that will enjoy the high-energy environment of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Airport Security Guards perform a variety of duties associated with customer service, passenger assistance, safety and security, and ground transportation compliance enforcement through Notice(s) of Violation at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. All positions have extensive contact with the public, tenants and are frequently involved in customer service and conflict resolution that require the incumbent to work effectively in stressful situations. Typical duties may include monitoring queues, providing information, resolving passenger and tenant concerns, all while enforcing compliance with airport rules/regulations and Phoenix City Code.IDEAL CANDIDATE* Ability to follow directives and protocols.* Ability to perform under stressful situations.SALARYPay Range: $17.30 to $32.62 per hour.Hiring Range: $17.30 to $20.02 per hour.Pay Range Explanation:* Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.* Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer.
