Primary purpose:To facilitate the safe and efficient handling of customer products, including; gauging tanks, rail cars, tank trucks and marine vessels with accuracy Essential duties and responsibilities:Alignment and set-up of tanks, pumps and pipelines for the transfer of products to and from ships, barge, railcar and tank trucksTroubleshoot, repair and maintain all related equipmentComplete all operational documentation accurately, neatly and efficientlyMust follow established regulatory, company, industry and customer specific SOP'sCandidates must possess a positive work attitude, be environmentally responsible and safely consciousMust be punctual, self-motivated and have strong communication and math skills
Minimum requirements: Education:High school diploma or equivalent Experience / specific knowledge:Chemical Operators are required to work rotating shifts in an outdoor environmentPosition requires climbing stairs, working at elevated heights, the use of hand tools and heavy liftingPrevious related industrial experience, a stable work history and mechanical skills are preferredSatisfactory completion of a mandatory drug screen and background check upon job offerMaintain regular and dependable attendance Certifications, licenses, registrations:Must possess and maintain a valid driver license Competencies, skills, and abilities:High level of attention to detailStrong work ethic and dependabilityMust poses strong verbal and written communication skillsSelf motivated with ability to complete tasks with minimum directionMust be able to work with team, take direction from supervisionAttention to detail Physical demands:Must be able to lift up to 50 to 60 lbsAbility to walk up and down stairs/ladders Working conditions:Will be required to wear PPE, steel toed shoes/boots, goggles and respiratorsAbility to withstand extreme weather conditions will be required to work outsideAbility to negotiate uneven surfacesSubject to background check and mandatory drug screen/on-going random testing Supervisory responsibility:None Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:Industrial maintenance background is preferred with prior experience repairing rotating equipment and industrial electric supply and control systemsBasic pipefitting will be helpfulHighly Desirable: Two or four year degree any discipline or honorable discharge any branch US military or three years terminal operations/maintenance experience or five years general industrial experience.
