We're hiring a
Terminal Operator. This position will be a critical part of the Terminal Operations team reporting to the Terminal Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety in the workplace and all regulatory standards. The Terminal Operator is expected to perform safely all duties related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and quality of petroleum products.For over 90 years Global Partners LP has been delivering the energy our communities need to grow, move, and thrive. Gauges of Responsibility - Terminal Operators work a rotating shift schedule during a seven-day week that requires him/her to cover work on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Shifts vary by terminal location and are often twelve hours in duration.
- Terminal Operators may be required to provide relief to other Terminal Operators in their work area.
- Terminal Operators must be willing to work in the proximity of various hydrocarbon products, electrical circuits, and machinery.
- Maintain an incident free workplace by use of various Company safety programs
- Read and understand station flow and pipeline alignment drawings in order to properly open/close valves for directing product flow
- Responsible for the accurate measurement and sampling of various products, offload of marine receipts and operation of the loading rack
- Utilize computer software to perform various data input, product tracking and reporting, and company communication
- Perform facility maintenance, including but not limited to painting, grounds upkeep, etc.
- Loading Rack Surveillance (Driver Certification, Driver Observations, Alarm Management, General Troubleshooting, etc.)
- Marine vessel offloading
- Product quality assurance (Tank Certification, Product Sampling, etc.)
- Product Inventory (Volume Measurement)
- Daily Inspections and Facility Walk Around
- General Filing and Data Entry
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
- Position does not include travel expense reimbursement or relocation.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic

Qualifications- Safe driving skills and a valid driver's license
- Able to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
- Able to work effectively both alone and with others
- Able to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
- Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Able to operate hand tools or other equipment to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Able to operate facility equipment (Pressure/vac truck, skid steer, fork-lift, back-hoe, plows/sanders etc.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and DOT motor carrier regulations
- Willing and able to ascending to the top of tanks to perform gauging or other work
- Willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including holidays, weekends and overtime; the position will be required to respond to call-outs and perform relief work
- Willing and able and able to attend and successfully complete required training courses
- Willing and able to comply with the site's requirements for safety equipment and respirator use; this may require shaving facial hair
