Job Title: Terminal Operator (2401107)Company: RSI, recently acquired by Trinity Industries, Inc.Location: Buffalo, NYDescription: The Terminal Operator's primary responsibility is to safely and timely unload rail cars to trucks and storage, within the terminal facility. The Terminal Operator will understand and follow operating procedures and policies.Position Type: Full-time, some overtime may be required, must be flexible.Safety and Security: Fully Secure. Lighted, paved, and fenced.Responsibilities / Job Duties:Daily unloading of rail cars carrying hazardous materials.Understand and follow operating procedures and policies.Operate rail car loading systems, including an articulated front-end loader.Perform work safely and productively.Willingness to be cross-trained on all functions at the terminal facility.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Ask questions when in doubt.Read and write clearly and accurately fill out all required paperwork.Enforce all safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors.Perform general maintenance on equipment as necessary.Assist with facility maintenance, such as general maintenance, landscape upkeep, and painting.Work independently and in a team setting in a helpful and professional manner.Interact with customers, railroad crews, and visitors professionally.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Requirements/Qualifications:Must be able to read, write, and understand English.Basic math skills.Light computer skills are a plus.Possess a valid Driver's License.Capable of learning how to operate and maintain rail car and trans-loading equipment.Willingness to learn new skills and be teachable.Available for a full-time shift, M - F, and some weekends possible, generally 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with some overtime.Education/Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Minimum 1-2 years of experience handling bulk material, especially lumber material.Experience driving and operating an articulated front loader.Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials as needed.Physical Requirements:Physically able to climb up and down rail cars and ladders safely for an extended period.Work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, etc.).Lift and carry fifty (50) pounds consistently.Walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift.#J-18808-Ljbffr
