Basic Function and Overview: As a Terrain Park attendant, help shape the terrain that you love to ride. The Terrain Park attendant assists with the design, build, shape, and maintenance of the terrain parks for our guests.Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with designing, building, shaping, and maintaining the terrain parks for guests.
- Maintain and assist in the construction, inspection, and testing of terrain park features.
- Install, maintain and monitor safety materials including signage, boundaries, entrances/exits, and marking takeoffs.
- Open and close the terrain park.
- Ensure all signage is visible and in proper locations.
- Support Ski Patrol as needed.
- Communicate effectively with guests.
- Participate in user education and training.
- Remove or relocate snow as needed.
- Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/radio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Expert skiing/snowboarding ability.
- Must be able to test small rails, boxes, jumps and other features within the terrain park.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous terrain park experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Daily work consists of raking, shoveling and lifting large metal objects.
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse winter weather conditions for up to 10 hours a day.
