Job Description:
The Big PictureWe are currently seeking a field-based Territory Manager, based out of Chicago. This territory consists of the Midwestand requires travel across this territory. In this position, the candidate will gain an in-depth knowledge of the sales, marketing, education, and the research and development of innovative medical devices. The field-based Territory Manager interacts with doctors, nurses, technical staff, and engineers to introduce new products, service, and support Baylis Medical Technologies products. The field-based Territory Manager is responsible for conducting hands-on demonstrations for interested parties, assisting the regional team in day-to-day activities that include trade show attendance, in-servicing new customers, supporting cases, identifying new business opportunities, Medical Education, etc.The field-based Territory Manager will be required to know and understand all the clinical and technical aspects of the products. Also, the person will have to follow-up and build relationships with both new & existing customers.The candidate will gain an in-depth knowledge of innovative Interventional radiology and Pediatric products, in addition to also learning to deal with a variety of stakeholders involved in the sales cycle.Your Impact Through Innovation
  • Promote Baylis Medical Technologies and other manufacturer products by:
  • Build a strategic territory plan to maximize sales by analyzing market dynamics and utilizing available information to develop plan track and adjust appropriately to meet the short and long term goals of the organization.
  • Making cold calls
  • Supporting cases in the assigned territory
  • Communicate sales activities via the company CRM and other forms (email, presentations) in a clear, concise and consistent manner while meeting key administrative and project deadlines
  • Visiting potential customers in assigned territory
  • Attending trade-shows
  • Retrieve, organize, analyze and complete Tender documents for respective territory
  • Schedule and perform in-services for doctors and staff for all products.
  • Learn and collect market data relative to products and territory. Use data to identify sales possibilities and potentials for growth.
  • Assist with the on boarding and training of new employees
  • Perform other duties as requested
Your Unique ExpertiseRequired Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and promotional abilities. The ideal candidate is both ambitious and emphatic.
  • The ideal candidate will be independent, self-motivated, and results oriented, with a highly personable and energetic presence. Above all else, the candidate will have a positive attitude with a glass half full outlook on life.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are also highly valued, as the candidate will be expected to write technical reports/documentation with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn technical information.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of medical issues.
  • The position is permanent, pending a probationary period.
  • The position is travel intensive and the ideal candidate should be prepared to be on the road up to 50% of the time.
  • The candidate is required to have access to an automobile for business use and a valid driver's license.
  • Due to the requirements of this position, completion of all routine vaccinations including an FDA approved COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu shot, is mandatory prior to starting in this position, due to the constraints of the environments in which this role operates
Asset Skills:
  • Specialization in Life Sciences (Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, etc.)
  • Previous Medical Device or hospital sales experience.
  • Experience in field sales
