Job Description:
TITLE: Territory Sales Manager FLSA: ExemptDIVISION: ALLREPORTS TO: Sales Director Summary:Achieve sales target for assigned region and technology accounts. Develop and mentor sales team within region and in collaboration with other regions.Essential Functions:
  • Direct oversight for all sales and sales personnel and related activities within assigned territory or market section.
  • Development of sales strategy for territory that is aligned with KMC-wide targets and global strategies.
  • Oversees execution of strategy for territory and monitors success of each strategy.
  • Develop of the team's understanding of KMC's commercial and legal policies.
  • Supports sales staff in creating effective strategies for customer acquisition and development
  • Assures team adheres to local and corporate guidelines and policies.
  • Works in close collaboration with service team to assure proper scheduling and support of customers.
  • Provides KPI data back to Director of Sales as requested.
  • Drive sales of all Krauss Maffei Injection Molding brands and ancillary technologies, e.g. automation.
  • Supports other KM technologies as necessary through lead identification, etc.
  • Obtains and provides sufficient data for evaluation of equipment applicability.
  • Submits necessary information for product testing, project engineering and proposal preparation.
  • Provides data for and participates in project analysis. Data to include competitive technology, project fiscal status, timing, customer preferences, etc.
  • Conducts sales calls as necessary, presentations and negotiations prior and after receipt of order utilizing divisional resources as necessary.
  • Assist in account receivable collection.
  • Supports development of territory profile to include customer list, product/application data, investment climate, long-term industry trends, etc.
  • Provides data from existing equipment installations for the development of statistical and reference purposes.
  • Submits sales planning calendar, call reports, monthly project activity reports and other information pertinent to short and long term planning

Work EnvironmentThis job operates from the home office, although occasional meetings/trainings in the Florence facility are expected.   • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.

Expected Hours of WorkThis is a salaried, exempt level, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Actual working hours may vary.TravelTravel is extensive, and frequent out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected. Travel to Germany or other international locations possible for training/conferences. Anticipated travel is 80%.Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering discipline or similar field and 5+ years' experience in capital equipment sales and turnkey solutions with long sales cycles and integration in the plastics industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of building business and customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Strong technical understanding of plastics processing equipment and associated processes a strong plus.
