Role Overview

Amtech is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead sales and marketing efforts across the South East region, including Georgia (GA), Florida (FL), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), and Alabama (AL). Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role is crucial for driving business growth through strategic acquisition, market expansion, and revenue enhancement. Success in this position requires effective travel and collaboration with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to attract new customers and system integrators in the South East region.
  • Identify and explore business opportunities, and craft marketing plans to build consumer preference. Manage the technical and commercial evaluation processes, leading to successful negotiations and final agreements with customers.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and metrics with a focus on profitability.
  • Develop and execute a territory action plan to drive business growth, including establishing distribution networks and appointing new distributors.

Planning and Budgeting:

  • Perform focused planning and budgeting; regularly evaluate projected versus achieved targets.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost summaries for projects, accounting for labour, equipment, materials, overhead, taxes, markup, and other expenses.

Customer and Market Development:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and system integrators. Ensure robust service support and gather feedback to drive continuous improvements.
  • Maintain technical competency to address industry needs and collaborate with Product Management on technical documents and presentations.

Travel and Collaboration:

  • Travel extensively within the assigned region to engage with key accounts, consultants, end customers, and system integrators.
  • Work closely with the team to anticipate market trends and advocate the company's offerings to prospective clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational& Experience Requirements:

  • Graduation or MBA is an added advantage.
  • 5 to 12 years of experience in sales and business development of industrial products, or experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry, with a strong enthusiasm for sales and willingness to travel 50-60%.
  • Proven track record in small to medium-sized companies, with experience in establishing distribution networks and driving sales growth.

Technical and Professional Skills:

  • Skilled in delivering effective presentations and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Proficient in analyzing customer needs for motion control solutions and demonstrating product lines related to industrial control systems and automation.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Zoho) and MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
