Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. They will monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Achieves sales goals by retaining existing customers and developing new business.
  • Provides strategic recommendations, pricing, and customized solutions for products and services to meet individual customer needs.
  • Prepares quotes, invoicing, and order delivery for existing and potential customers.
  • Negotiates terms and closes transactions.
  • Initiates sales calls with customers in industrial applications of all kinds and delivers presentations highlighting features and benefits of recommended solutions.
  • Develops and maintains successful long-term customer relationships.
  • Oversees delivery, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Works with OEMs, engineering, and technical staff to clarify customer needs and develop specifications.
  • Research local markets to identify sales opportunities and competitors.
  • Builds rapport with customer base and develops an understanding of customers' core business profit drivers.
  • Records account, contract, and sales activities in the CRM on a daily basis.
  • Perform other related duties and report progress as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Results-oriented sales professional with a minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience
  • Background in industrial sales and filtration is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to enhance market share.
  • Working knowledge of assembly, fabrication, power units, lubrication systems, and electrical controls
  • Experience reading building blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagrams is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strength in customer presentations
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to meet customer needs.
  • Associate degree in business, sales, or marketing is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Office 365 required, Dynamics or other CRM platforms is a plus.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
