Job Description:
The successful candidate will apply a diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles, company design practices, and production methods to assure the quality and function of manufactured products. Employee will Work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to implement equipment and procedures that effectively and efficiently test in-process components and finished assemblies.Key Activities/Responsibilities:
  • Uses Electronic principles to design and build the hardware for test fixtures.
  • Test Engineer should be able to read schematics and develop a board level understanding of the product being tested.
  • Documents all procedures, fixtures, and tests per company standards.
  • Uses LabVIEW, C, C++, or Python to develop test fixture software and test scripts.
  • Tests software for Windows and embedded applications.
  • Trains technicians to use new and modified test fixtures and assists with technical problems related to product testing.
  • Reviews Engineering Change Requests packages per company standards and signs for Test Engineer.
  • Updates procedures and fixtures as required by changes in design.
  • Participates in DFT (Design for Test) reviews to ensure products are designed to be easily tested.
  • Works with engineers to conduct performance, validation and verification tests for hardware and software.
  • Verify design output meets design specifications prior to product release.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on test equipment. Ensures production test equipment and fixtures are in calibration.
  • Observes Production Technicians and develops improved test methods to shorten test time.
  • Interfaces with Quality & Service Technicians regarding failure modes of returned products to improve thoroughness of production testing
Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in electronics or in a related engineering discipline from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position
  • LabVIEW, C, C++, familiarity with PCB process and the ability design and develop schematics, knowledge of R.F Equipment
