Position Overview
As a member of the Product Development Engineering team, you will develop and manage validation plans for new products and enhancements, while providing advanced customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and complete resin tests; create detailed reports.
- Assemble/disassemble systems; provide troubleshooting feedback.
- Prepare resin, molds, hot runners, and machines for testing.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop technical reports for internal and external use.
- Create application guidelines and train teams.
- Present findings to leadership, customers, and sales.
- Support product launches at customer beta sites.
- Analyze and resolve long-term warranty issues.
- Provide on-site support for high-priority start-ups.
- Participate in design reviews and testing for critical systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Plastics/Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years in plastics or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of injection molding, resins, and mold design.
- Preferred: Experience in medical molding validation (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and stress analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for technical reporting.
- Experience with mold and hot runner instrumentation.
- Willing to travel as needed.
