We are looking for a Test Lab Engineer for a client in manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skill set and make an immediate impact!As a Test Lab Engineer, you will be instrumental in selecting test methods, providing training, analyzing data, and establishing laboratory test criteria and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement test plans to fulfill specific requests Create test methods, procedures, and fixtures as needed Perform sample preparation, measurements, and testing when necessary Use personal computers to collect, analyze, interpret, and display data Write comprehensive test reports to document and communicate test data, results, and conclusions Coordinate with laboratory technicians to complete test requests Conduct and coordinate failure analysis Meet with customers to discuss test requirements and communicate results Train others in the use of appropriate test equipment Assist in the design/development of new connectors, cable assemblies, equipment fixtures, or processes Recommend new equipment, training, or functions as appropriate Contribute to the development of laboratory methods, procedures, and systems to improve productivity Stay updated with new technology and competitor's technology Perform other tasks at the request of Lab ManagementQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 6 years of applicable experience Ability to communicate and write clearly Demonstrated knowledge of electro/mechanical characteristics of connectors and cable assemblies Proficiency in using personal computers to collect, analyze, and display test data Ability to design test matrices as needed to fulfill requests by interpreting internal and external specifications and documents Demonstrated ability to develop test methods, procedures, and fixtures Ability to train others in the use of applicable lab equipment Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers, marketing, engineering, and manufacturingThis role is a stepping stone to a rewarding career.
