Your Role on Our Team
The Manager in this position will be responsible for planning, growing, managing the Manual User Life Testing division of the power tools test laboratory. This role will lead a team that coordinates with New Product Development on their testing requirements, creating material BOMs, procuring material, training on testing methods, and performing testing according to specifications. Through communication, team building, and coaching, develop and motivate direct reports and positively influence cross functional teams to meet challenging projects and business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage day to day activities of both technical and None technical individual
Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
Use robust statistical methods to interpret performance data and make formal recommendations to product design teams.
Provides leadershipand is responsible for managing multiple moderate to highly complextest Programs.
Provides direction, guidance and engineering expertise to assure successful and timely execution of test Programs
Serve as an expert resource for the organization to lead teams in industry best practices.
Effectively communicatein a professional manner to motivateup,down, and acrossthe organization of adiverserange of technical and non-technical team members.
Oversees day-to-day activities of cross functional projects.Tracks project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.Accountable for technical elements of project execution.
Drive urgencyin project schedulesand accountabilityforestablishing and achievingkey metricsthat meet the organization's needs.
Ensure the team is given the time and resources required to succeed by creating and managing robust project schedules.
Communicates, both verbal and written, to assure all groups are working toward the goal of timely project completion.
Consistently visualizes entire scope of a project with very little guidance. Identify project risks and implement risk mitigation Programs.Proactively identifies, negotiates and mitigates impact of scope creep.
Grow the team to increase team's capacity while maintaining exemplary performance.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering lab environment
Working knowledge of advanced statistical methods.
Must possess knowledge of engineering materials used in power tools and power tool accessories along with a familiarity of the mechanical properties of these materials.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
