- Prepare, perform, and validate testing activities. Ensure all tests are carried out in an efficient manner and validate the tests. Minimize the installation time as well as optimize test cycle efficiency in test cells.
- Produce useful data for engineering and follow up activities in the test facilities to establish relevant KPI s.
- Conduct mechanical inspections and diagnose issues on vehicles used for testing purposes.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, truck instrumentation, suspension work, and steering adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems in vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Drive vehicles during testing procedures, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report any issues or abnormalities to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure the safe operation of vehicles during testing, including adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective testing procedures.
- Will require 25% - 50% travel.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Shows potential for longer-term development
- 2+ years proven experience as a mechanic in a testing or automotive environment.
- Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) is mandatory for operating 53-foot tractor-trailers.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles (Class 8).
- Truck dealership experience is a plus.
- Documenting comprehensive testing procedures and results with precision and clarity.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing procedures.
