Summit is looking to hire in-home, one-on-one test prep tutors to service the greater Boston, MA, area, particularly the areas between Westborough and Newton.Applicants must have a bachelor's degree to be considered. As well as a willingness to tutor all sections of both the SAT and ACT - this, after comprehensive paid training, of course - but a baseline knowledge of high school ELA & math content is needed. The Skill Set:As a candidate for the role of Summit Tutor, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
- A student-centered disposition that prioritizes the learning needs of the young people we serve.
- Responsible and responsive work ethic, allowing flexibility for student schedule changes.
- Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel 30 minutes to students' homes.
- Additional compensation is provided when traveling farther.
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Teaching or tutoring experience is welcomed, but not required.
- We offer comprehensive paid SAT/ACT training to all new tutors.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students with Learning Differences is a plus.
