Test Technician - Friday - Sunday 5:30AM - 6:00PM - 3X12Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)Department: Operations/ManufacturingPosition SummaryThe Test Technician is an essential and versatile member of the Plug Power manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for the testing and validation of electrolyzer and fuel cell technology. Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in testing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail. The Test Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesElectrical and mechanical setup and test of electrolyzer and fuel cell technologyAbility to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for setup and testing proceduresAbility to interface with a computer or HMI to load test protocols, open and analyze data files, and record testing informationOperation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in setup workOperation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacksAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing processFollow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standardsMaintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplaceMust professionally communicate and collaborate with other Plug Power team members and supervisorsAbility to complete manufacturing documentation as required in the course of workPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferredAt least one (1) of experience within a testing position; electro-mechanical assembly experience desiredHigh degree of manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude and computer usage; LabView or similar preferredComfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficientlyAbility to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demandComfort with Microsoft Office software programsQuality focused and detail-orientedTeam player with a positive communication styleAbility to stand and/or and sit for long periods of time in performance of job functionsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassistedPay Rate:$23.00 - $33.00We offer a fantastic total rewards package at Plug, and a brief summary is below:Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
