Job Description:
SUMMARY:Supports any and all on-site testing by preparing tests, mounting and changing tires. Operates various pieces of equipment in order to prepare tire assemblies, vehicles and surfaces for testing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Communicates with assigned Test Drivers (Smithers, External Clients or Contract Drivers) to support testing as directed.•Prepares tire assemblies according to test sheets including mounting and balancing and mounts onto appropriate test vehicle.•Prepares various test surfaces in accordance with instructions of supervisors to coincide with test instructions (ex. Grooming, Packing, Watering).•Operates various equipment.•Fill equipment with fuel or charge (electric vehicles) as needed and record data as needed.•Performs equipment inspections prior to using any equipment includes checking oil.•Checks and confirms calibration of applicable equipment (ex. Hand air gauges, balancers).•Fills out incident reports as needed for any equipment repairs or any other problems that may accrue.•Cleans and helps maintain garage and equipment as needed.•Has good attendance and attitude.•Has the ability to follow directions well.•Has the ability to learn quickly.•Follows all safety requirements and procedures.•Assists other technicians in learning the system.•Works effectively with others in a collaborative team environment.•Other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: •High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or•One (1) to three (3) years of experience, or•Equivalent combination of education and experience#LI-JW1Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
