Portland AveOklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73107United States Hiring Supervisor and Contact Info:Michelle DosherHiring Range:(Contingent upon available funding):16.70 - 17.37, Hourly Work Schedule:Varies, may include some evenings and weekendsJob Summary:Job Summary:The TestingCoordinator is responsible for assisting the Manager of Testing &Assessment to ensure the uniform implementation of proper testing policy andprocedures, coordinating all testing activities for all exams with the testingteam and manager, completing special projects, and working with the manager toassure adequate office/proctor coverage.This position works closely with the Manager of Testing & Assessmentand the Testing Specialists. Essential Job Functions:
  • Obtain/maintain certifications for testadministration and proctoring.
  • Assist the Manager of Assessment & Testing inensuring uniform implementation of proper testing policies and procedures.
  • Works with manager to assure adequate office/proctor coverage. Must be available to work any testing center hours to include occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Strong, regular, consistent attendance.
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation ofvarious exams, processing exams, emails, and voicemails.
  • Coordinate proctors and the administration of various types of exams, strictly adhering to guidelines set by faculty and/or other testing organizations.
  • Support Testing Specialists with exam issues and trouble shoot day to day issues with exams and technology.
  • Assist in training of test center personnel.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains a testing and office environment thatis friendly and supportive of all test takers/staff.
  • Maintains exam security and integrity of thetesting environment.
  • Communicate with manager any irregularities with exams, testers and/or staff
  • With a high degree of accuracy, assist with dataentry of test scores and placement messaging, scanning, faxing, emailing,filing, and mailing of various records.
  • Assist in updating andmaintaining an adequate inventory of testing forms, flyers, andbrochures.Assist in updating thetesting center's webpage, manuals and the preparation of reports.
  • Responsible formaintaining a neat and tidy testing area; responsible for weeklycleaning/disinfecting test room tables, computer stations, andcomputers.
  • Completes all mandatory training and twoprofessional developments per year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Associate degree or 1 year of college with the completion of College Composition I & II and math requirement, or 1+ years administering exams in a test center
    • Cannot be a student/perspective student in a health science program
    WorkExperience:
    • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer service rich environment.
    • Experienceworking in both collaborative/team environments and in positions thatrequire individualized work with minimal supervision.
    • Minimum of three years progressively responsible work experience in arelated field or line of work.
    • A minimum of 6 months-1 year of data entry experience.
    • Requirement for eligibility to deliver all exams is 21 years old.
    Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to read and interpret complex written records such as regulations and instructional materials.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
    • Exhibit a positive example with professional judgement and behavior, and problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong coordination and organizational skills, attending to details and willingness to learn.
    • Must be adaptable to perform in a high-paced and dynamic environment under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads and public/student contact.
    • High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.
    • Ability to be able to respond to the dynamic testing environment with consistent application of exam specific guidelines keeping test security.
    • Maintain accurate test files, student test attempts and records of faculty and student transactions according to Test Center policy and procedures.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
    • Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and communicate with IT and tech support with testing companies.
    • Must be able to use good professional judgment, direct and train others.
    • Ability to perform basic math functions and time conversion skills.
    • Dedication to work assignments and exceptional quality of work
    • Extensive computer use required.
    • Demonstrated coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
    • Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
    • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Word,Excel, Access, Publisher and desktop publishing.
    • Previoustesting experience in a higher-educational setting
    • Knowledge of various testing programs, i.e.Pearson VUE, CLEP, ACCUPLACER, ACT, TEAS, etc.
    • Eligible to deliver all exams
    Working Conditions:
    • Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
    • During peak testing periods must be able to handle high volume of phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
    • Must be comfortable being quiet in a quiet testing environment observing people.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Duties require clear vision up close, at a distance, and color vision, as well as exceptional hearing with the ability to hear soft whispers.
    • Duties require extended periods of sitting, standing, talking, listening and computer usage.
    • Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
