We are seeking an experienced and results-driven System Integration & Testing Manager to oversee and manage the R&D operations of our Dallas-based system integration and testing facility. This leadership role is critical for ensuring the smooth running, continuous improvement, and seamless integration of systems for both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management and technical expertise, with a focus on facility management, team leadership, and effective stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Budgeting:
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for the R&D team at the Dallas system integration and testing facility.
- Oversee headcount management, ensuring the team at the facility is adequately staffed to meet operational needs and project timelines.
Facility Management and Improvement:
- Manage the ongoing operations and maintenance of the Dallas testing facility.
- Continuously improve the facility's capabilities, equipment, and processes to enhance testing efficiency, safety, and overall performance.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, product, and R&D) and external stakeholders to build, improve, and manage the daily operations of the Dallas system integration facility.
- Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure that the facility meets the requirements and expectations of all parties involved.
Reporting and Management Communication:
- Provide regular reports to management on results, issues, risks, and other key performance indicators related to the system integration and testing facility.
- Ensure that any challenges or risks are promptly identified and addressed, and propose solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
Interface with Stakeholders:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all R&D test-related activities and test results at the Dallas facility.
- Coordinate and communicate test progress, results, and any challenges to internal teams, senior management, and external partners.
Support Test Technicians:
- Work closely with test technicians to ensure smooth execution of tests, provide technical guidance, and support as needed to troubleshoot any issues during testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Proven experience in system integration, testing, or related technical management roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing staff and resources in a technical environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Experience with test equipment, systems integration processes, and improving testing facilities is a plus.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
