Position Title Testing Manager, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Position Number 896389 School/Division School of Medicine DepartmentFull-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Assistant Director of Integrated Learning, the Testing Manager works with associate deans, assistant deans, data and analytics staff, course directors, and faculty, to manage, plan, and implement all aspects of exam and assessment creation, administration, and post-exam activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborates with faculty and course directors to collect, organize, and review test questions for all School of Medicine courses and curricular components.
- Manages all aspects of exam administration, including tracking and administration of exam reviews, practice exams, make-up exams and re-assessments, and the grade appeal process.
- Oversees computer-based test system administration, ensuring assessments are available as scheduled.
- Uploads and configures exams into ExamSoft software, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Collaborates with faculty to create customized assessments and orders clinical subject exams within the NBME portal.
- Schedules and coordinates exam dates, times, and locations using the scheduling software system.
- Collaborates with the data and analytics team to create efficient assessment-related workflow and operating procedures.
- Ensures the integrity and security of exam environments in accordance with School of Medicine policy.
- Provides and/or coordinates technical support for faculty, students, and exam proctors during exam creation, exam administration, and post-exam review process.
- Supports the Assistant Director of Integrated Learning in the coordination, administration and logistics of clinical skills exams at the Northwell Health Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI).
- Supports the Assistant Dean for Operations in coordinating the scheduling and training of part-time exam proctors at the School of Medicine.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years of relevant administrative experience in exam administration or supporting an academic program in higher education, preferably in a school of health professions.
- Above-average organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A demonstrated high degree of judgement, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, faculty, and students, manage complex projects in a busy work environment, make decisions with little oversight, and approaching challenges with creativity and innovation.
- Must exhibit proficiency in computing, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other relevant software applications, with knowledge of the ExamSoft assessment platform.
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from off-site meetings.
- Early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required to monitor program activities and manage workload.
