Elite Technical is seeking a Testing Technician to support our client's torpedo manufacturing facility in Canonsburg PA.The selected candidate will support activities such as designing, testing (electrical and mechanical), checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following:- Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces- Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions- Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems-This position is an onsite opportunity and is a contract to permanent opportunity with a leading manufacturer within the government space. - Due to the government nature of this position, ship is required along with ability to obtain a Secret clearance (active Secret clearance = Big plus)- An Associate-s degree (required) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant testing experience to the component level (important to have component level testing knowledge)- Testing equipment includes any of the following (should have 1 or more): DMM tester, power generator, oscilloscope, function generator, hipot tester- Must be able to read complex electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and blue prints.
