SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Texas Center at Schreiner University is an educational ecosystem that offers opportunities for students and the general population to learn and appreciate the uniqueness of Texan history, culture, and people. The on-campus student work position helps to support the mission and vision of the Texas Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Research historical information.
* Download historical images for Texas history videos.
* Support training for new student workers in the department.
* Write scripts and edit videos for Texas Center YouTube.
* Production assistant for video projects.
* Learn how to use video equipment, audio gear, etc. for filming ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS.
* Interest in Video Capture, Editing and photography.
* Social Media Marketing, Outreach, and Presence.
* Familiar with cameras and computers.
* Interest in graphic design and photoshop.
* An interest in book publishing-shipping books, managing title releases, use of marketing tools and online resources, etc.
* An interest in travel related services-destination research, reservations, customer service, tour management.
* Online educational materials development.
* Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS
* Strong Back: Ability to lift 50 lb. boxes.
* Customer Service.
* Positive attitude.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
* Be enrolled as full-time student at Schreiner University. This position is open to freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior classifications.
