JOB SUMMARY Responsible for the accuracy and professional, proficient manner in dealing a specific table game according to Company policies and procedures and in compliance with Gaming regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for the protection and control of the specific game assigned, games including: Blackjack, Spanish 21, Carnival Games, and/ or Poker. • Conducts the games in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, handling player transactions and notifying Supervisor of any irregularities. • Advises Supervisor of any player disputes or arguments that may arise during the game. • Informs Supervisor or other games personnel of any important or relevant facts regarding specific players and their action. • Maintains a professional, friendly and courteous atmosphere providing the guest with a delightful gaming experience, and notifying Supervisor of any guest needs i.e., cocktails, Host Service, etc. • Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions. • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, tribal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as Company internal controls, policies and procedures. • Other duties as assigned. Proven knowledge and experience on the assigned game required. Basic knowledge of all current house procedures required. Completion of Dealer School provided by Blue Lake Casino & Hotel. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
- Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
