OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY Looking for cooks to work in our prepackaged Grab & Go department at the Oasis Kitchen. A kitchen designated to prepare the foods in an environment clear of any of the eight major allergens outlined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration-peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, eggs, milk, soy, and wheat-as well as gluten. After the meals are composed, they are sealed and transported to the college's student dining venue, where they can be purchased as grab-and-go items on CIA student meal plans. SHIFTS
- Weekdays/Weekend(required): 8am to 2pm OR 3pm to 9pm
- This position is considered an Essential Service role, where you may be required to work opening/closing shifts, weekends/Holidays/Faculty Seminar Days, and during inclement weather.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to a safe and positive workplace.
- Maintain a clean uniform & station.
- Assist with prepping, setting up, maintaining, and keeping an inventory of the Grab & Go items.
- Breaking down/cleaning/restocking for the next shift at the end of the shift.
- Follow the school's and/or local health department guidelines for hygiene & food safety.
- All other duties as assigned for BOH services
PREREQUISITES
- Must have weekend availability.
- Expected to be available for any snow day or other unplanned school closing.
- Will be working in an open kitchen and expected to act professionally & with a high level of hospitality.
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
- Background in catering, high volume or fine dining restaurant establishment.
- One (1) or more years of cooking experience in a high volume / banquet setting.
- Serve-safe certified or equivalent

Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
