Theater TeacherLeaders Influencing Freedom & Excellence (LIFE) Academy will implement curriculum and instruction that advances a trauma sensitive learning environment, through culturally relevant and holistic pedagogy, student connectedness, and authentic community partnerships. Our teachers will deliver the most rigorous, joyful, and socially conscious academic experience for LIFE Academy students. Teachers will ensure students receive culturally relevant instruction while maintaining rigor. The Middle School Teacher position will report directly to the Assistant Principal or designee and works closely with the Chief Academic Officer. Mission-Alignment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in education or related field (preferred)
- Teaching Certification (preferred)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create a theater program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth
- Establish effective rapport with students
- Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation
- Utilize technology to motivate students and prepare students for 21st century
- Establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal
