Specific details and flexible working options can be discussed as part of the interview process.Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesWe are seeking candidates with extensive experience in adult and paediatric Neurosurgery, as well as proven people management skills. You must be dynamic, forward-thinking, and demonstrate solid, innovative leadership styles and skills in an environment that is constantly changing.In addition to a can-do attitude, it is essential to possess outstanding communication, decision-making, and motivational skills. You will be required to demonstrate ongoing professional development, a strong commitment to developing others, and an in-depth understanding of how to enhance and provide safe, high-quality care to patients and their families.The successful applicant will be required to cover all shift patterns (early, late, and night shifts) as well as ad hoc on-calls, if necessary. In addition, the successful candidate will be leading and delivering the 24/7 stroke service once it is established in 2025 as well as actively participate in the recruitment and training prior to launch date.Person specificationQualifications, knowledge and experienceDegree-level education or equivalent experienceExperience at band 6 levelProvide evidence of Leading learning in practiceProvide evidence of Support colleagues to promote learning in practice providing an excellent learning environment for allProvide evidence of Supporting /managing and supervision a range of learnings in practiceAware of current NHS and professional issuesAbility to network and build relationships within and across professionsExperience of developing nursing and allied health profession / perioperative practiceEvidence of Formal Management TrainingAct in the role of Practice Assessor or supporting the progression of learners / supporting challenges as neededCommenced MSc Academic PathwayMulti skilled in more than one area of specialityEvidence of continuing professional developmentSound leadership and effective role modelling capabilitiesPlease be advised that this vacancy may close earlier than stated if we receive a large number of applications.
