Therapeutic mentors help children through providing one to one structured therapeutic activity in the community including modeling, coaching and encouraging achievement of goals that support behavior change and success in the community. Therapeutic mentors work collaboratively with other professionals to provide high quality team-based care. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. We are dedicated to offering high quality and culturally appropriate care. What are we looking for in a Therapeutic Mentor? Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma, associate degree, Bachelor's degree and one (2) years' experience working with target population. (2) years' experience working with children
- Previous experience working with children with Serious Emotional Disturbance.
- Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems (required).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Demonstrates working knowledge of community resources and how to help clients access them.
- Good communication skills.
- Interest in helping others.
- Ability to create and implement strategies to facilitate achievement of agreed-upon goals.
