In addition, you will enjoy not only the tools and support to ensure you can focus keenly on quality patient care but also tremendous flexibility.The COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant will assist in the treatment of residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist and participate as an active member of facility's rehabilitation teamEssential Job Functions:Resident Care: Provides treatment to residents as directed by the Occupational TherapistRecords treatments given in medical record. Documentation will be completed using a company furnished hand held electronic device (i.e. Ipad).Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational TherapistCommunicates with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident progress, problems, and plansParticipates in resident-care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetingsParticipates in facility in-service training programsMaintains resident confidence and protects nursing home operations by records, keeping information confidentialRecords daily treatment charges according to facility policy and proceduresProtects resident and employee by adhering to infection control policies and protection protocolsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure rules and regulationsProvides community based services such as health and wellness activities as requiredQualifications- Current licensure in practicing state and/or nationally certified as an COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant- Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice- Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendanceBenefits:Medical/Dental/VisionPTO/Sick Leave/HolidaysSTD/LTD/401 retirement optionsCEUs
