POSITION SUMMARY
Facilitate experiential therapy groups at Porter-Starke Services, a community mental health center. Serve adults receiving care in our psychiatric hospital, day-treatment programming, and outpatient addiction services. Through experiential approaches, engage and enhance clients' physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and relational wellbeing. Include movement, art, problem-solving initiatives, music, storytelling, journaling, challenge courses, nature connections, service-learning projects, outdoor adventure experiences, and mindfulness-based meditation into your practice. Clinical supervision and training are provided. Occasionally, facilitate team-building workshops for non-clinical community groups such as schools, athletic teams, and businesses. Includes use of an on-site challenge course.

VITAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates experiential group therapy in inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults and in outpatient mental health and addictions clinic for all ages.
Facilitates team-building programming for non-clinical groups in a variety of settings. This includes all-day programming on an outdoor challenge course in a range of weather conditions.
Completes clinical documentation in an electronic medical record following the guidelines and procedures set forth by the organization.
Participates in multi-disciplinary clinical staffings and clinical supervision weekly.
Creates and develops experiential treatment interventions using a variety of experiential modalities that assist clients in addressing treatment goals.
Assists with program design, development, and preparation.
Communicates effectively and collaborates well with clinical staff throughout the organization.
Assists with the development of interns offering support, guidance, and knowledge in experiential techniques, group facilitation, clinical knowledge, and documentation.
Develops and maintains strong clinical and ethical standards of practice.
Maintains experiential therapy and team-building equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Utilization of a trauma informed care approach and other evidence-based practices in service provision

EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
At least a provisional license in Social Work (LSW), Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LMHCA) or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFTA) required.
Minimum of one to two years' experience in social work, psychology, or human services related field.
Facilitator training for a challenge course or knowledge and application of experiential modalities preferred.
