Job Summary:

Fully licensed therapists conducting diagnostic assessments and therapy to a variety of ages ranging from children to

older adults. Initial assessments and therapy are offered in HIPPA-compliant telemedicine and in-person formats. Therapists also manage crisis intervention while providing psychoeducation and referrals as needed. Therapists maintain a 75% caseload of total hours worked. In addition, therapists can attend their choice of consultation groups to develop knowledge and skills. Additionally, therapists attend practice-wide and office specific meetings. All services are provided in accordance with North Carolina state law and professional ethics and boundaries.

Duties / Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessment to gather psychosocial and mental health history

Assess patients emotional and mental health and develop treatment plans accordingly

Intervene with emergency care techniques and protocols when patients are in crisis

Provide evidenced-based services within scope of practice

Provide referrals for additional care or services

Maintain confidential notes/records using Mood Treatment Centers electronic medical records

Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload, either online via Electronic Medical Records Telehealth platform or

face to face at our organization, while maintaining required productivity level

Complete and sign therapy notes within 48 hours of appointments and sign charge slips day-of treatment

Consult with internal and external community providers concerning treatment

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

Extensive knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for psychological treatment

Well-developed listening and interview skills

Strong oral communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans

Organization skills to maintain up-to-date, easy-to-navigate patient files

Familiarity with privacy, health and safety laws

Computer skills to operate record keeping, scheduling, email and word processing software

Education and Experience

Professional License in good standing with the state of North Carolina (LCP or LCSW)

Masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field
