Position Summary:Work in a diverse environment that offers individuals the ability to interact with clients/patients in both mental and addiction recovery environment. Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team in providing psychiatric care as a consultant to a large medical/surgical inpatient service. Work collaboratively with hospital staff, providing liaison activities such as educational offerings, assistance with behavioral management of patients, and debriefings. Assists discharge resource team in coordinating transfers to outside psychiatric hospitals as needed and aftercare planning for psychiatric needs. Provides short term therapy for patients with mental health and/or addiction disorders.
Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSMasters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, OR Related Field CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Licensed Social Worker (LSW) Illinois upon hire or Licensed Professional Counselor Illinois upon hire Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Illinois within 2 years or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Illinois within 2 years. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum two (2) years of experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Experience in hospital-based clinical treatment services preferred. Be able to work with adult patients on Mental Health, Addiction Recovery and medical units. Also be able to work with adults in Mental Health and Addiction Recovery outpatient treatment programs. Must possess flexibility and coordination skills.
