Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Stony Point, NYWe are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our office full time in Stony Point, NY to assist the PT with patient care through all phases of physical therapy.We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant who is passionate about improving the health and quality of life of our patients. Our providers are well experienced and knowledgeable, and together with our amazing support staff, we strive to take the best care of our patients so that they can enjoy their healthiest, happiest lives.Duties: Aids Physical Therapist with patient care including assisting, instructing, and scheduling patients Assists patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and isokinetic program Assists Physical Therapists in performing range of motion and stretching exercises with patients Assists Physical Therapists with documenting and completing notes following patient appointments Completes appropriate forms and home treatment instructions for patients as needed Assists patients with understanding prescribed health care treatments Sets up exercise equipment in treatment rooms as needed by pushing, wheeling or carrying equipment Ensures billing forms are accurate and complete prior to submission to billing department Escorts patients to appropriate treatment areas Maintains proper condition and cleanliness of treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments and equipment following each patient visit and ensures treatment rooms are sufficiently stocked with towels and related supplies Monitors inventory of supplies, informs management of supply shortages, examines incoming supply orders, and stores in appropriate area Provides effective communication to Physicians as required Attends workshops and seminars relative to physical therapyRequirements: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience PTA license in NY All candidates MUST complete our employment applicationSchedule: 4 -10-hour shifts or 5 -8 hour shifts Monday through FridaySalary: $62k + (depending on years of experience)Benefits: 15 days PTO Health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, EAP) 401K Flexible ScheduleWe offer a competitive salary with generous benefits, and a great working environment with a comfortable atmosphere and dynamic team.
