In this role, the Physical Therapist (PT) will be responsible for helpingstudents access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities. About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: 2023-24 school year
- Schedule: Monday to Friday(3 days a week)
- Hours: 9am to 2:30pm
- Setting:Preschool
- Age Range:3 to 21years old (Developmentally / Intellectually Disabled)
Responsibilities: The Physical Therapist (PT) will be responsible for:
- Providing screening, evaluation, and therapy services, as assigned
- Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences to determine diagnosis and developing appropriate treatment plans for children
- Providing consultation on issues involving effective motor development to teaching staff and other appropriate programmatic staff and programs
- Providing information to families regarding their childs motor development and stimulation
- Maintaining and making all records and reports available required
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ months of PhysicalTherapy experience
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy school
- NYS Physical Therapist (PT)license
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with the Pediatric population
- Previous experience in a School setting
