Third Party Risk Management Specialist
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Vendor Oversight unit is responsible for assisting in Third Party Risk Management for BBVA US CIB. Central to its purpose is making sure that third party risk across the enterprise is appropriately identified, assessed, understood, documented and incorporated into management routines as appropriate. The unit also assists Third Party Risk Management program s compliance with regulatory requirements, including OCC Bulletin 2023-17 Interagency Guidance
This position will assist with the implementation of the programs and policies and support the ongoing adherence with the requirements of regulatory guidance, internal policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of higher risk vendor relationships specifically in Corporate Investment Banking space
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist Line of Business or Service Requestor in Third Party on-boarding process including:
Compliance, BCP documents, Exit strategy, country, others (as needed)
historical spend and contract execution
Assist in ongoing monitoring of third party engagements
Coordinate closeout activities of third party terminations & natural expirations from notification of terminations, coordination for movement from one vendor to another, or bringing services in-house
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience with third party management.
Intermediate or higher skill level in PowerPoint; Advance skill in Excel
Basic understanding of vendor risk management, tracking vendor risk activities and contract
details such as SLA, clauses of risk consideration
High level of motivation as well as strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to communicate with both internal service owners, senior management
and third party vendors
7 or more years in enterprise risk management or vendor risk management/monitoring
Ability to interact with vendor and internal user teams
Preferred:
Familiar with Aravo or other Third Party Vendor Risk System
Familiar with Workday or other Procurement System
Project management experience a plus
Experience in working in Corporate Investment banking
With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000 -$120,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
