Job Description:
Our employees are the reason for our successPosition SummaryThe Roller Operator will set-up and operate thread roller equipment. This individual will possess and demonstrate the skills necessary to maintain production requirements and quality standardsPosition Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Operating understanding of thread roller machines.
  • Set-up, adjust, and operate equipment as required.
  • Read and understand prints.
  • Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Move material by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices as needed.
  • Perform minor preventive maintenance such as oil, filter changes and daily requirements.
  • Work with tooling and maintenance personnel to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Train and assist other operators and department personnel as needed.
  • Suggest and implement process improvement ideas.
  • Maintain clean, orderly work area
  • Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/IATF 16949 documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications-Education/ExperienceRequired:
  • Ability to use all gauges and gauging techniques required.
  • Ability to set-up and operate one or more sizes/types of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, including written communication as needed.
  • Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
  • Leadership skill and ability to train others.
  • Use math skills for blueprint reading and SPC.
  • Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.

  • Previous problem solving and troubleshooting skills/experience.
  • Knowledge in IATF16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.
Preferred:
  • Minimum one to three years' experience in a direct or related field.
  • Formal mechanical or technical training.
  • Forklift operation/material-handling experience.
