JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Responsible for providing individual, family, and group mental health services to students and serving as a team member to assess, refer, or intervene with students. Will also conduct risk/threat assessments with individuals referred for safety concerns and facilitate the development of a plan to manage threats and support students. Works collaboratively with Safety and Security, School Leadership, Special Education, building administrators, and support staff. The person in this position will serve on the District Leadership Team. Essential Functions:
- Conduct risk/protective factor assessments and use a threat assessment inquiry process.
- Facilitate the development of Response Management Support Plans.
- Assess students' social and emotional development and risk of harm to others, and provide suicide assessments.
- Provide direct services to specified students to meet social-emotional needs, including self-advocacy skills and direct services and consultation to families, students, and staff on intervention strategies for dealing with adolescents.
- Collect, interpret, and present accurate and applicable school and student data on this program.
- Manage a caseload and develop, implement, and evaluate intervention plans for students.
- Collaborate with a team to provide appropriate student interventions and referrals for services.
- Provide ongoing consultation to and collaboration with staff members.
- Implement all components of the grant with fidelity and according to the metrics/measures identified by the evaluators of the program.
- Maintain records of all aspects of the program.
- Collaborate with staff to support program implementation and evaluation.
