Location: New Braunfels,TX, USA
Primary Purpose:Function as the time and attendance expert for the Transportation Department. Process the payroll for all transportation employees and related benefits, maintain audit integrity of all payroll records, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
Qualifications:Minimum Education/Certification:High school diploma or equivalent required
Business-related training preferred
TX CDL Preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:Understanding of basic book keeping, especially as related to governmental accounting.
Basic understanding of spreadsheet functions for Excel or related algebraic functions.
Proficiency on ten-key and keyboard.
Interpersonal skills for communication with district personnel and confidentiality.
Understanding of operations of various types of office equipment.
Bilingual preferred
Experience:Minimum three years business-related experience, payroll experience preferred, and Time Clock Plus experience preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:Enter Payroll Data for semi-monthly and non-exempt monthly Transportation employees to comply with audit standards and federal and state requirements.
Enter leave data for semi-monthly and non-exempt monthly Transportation staff.
Assist with data transfer from timekeeping system to payroll.
Verify new hire information provided by Coordinator of Staffing for Transportation is accurately transferred to timekeeping system by established deadlines.
Assist Business Office with compensation time records and overtime records including monitoring of approval process, accrual of time, use of time and payments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
