We are looking for the best and the brightest top-notch professionals to join our rapidly expanding team at our Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Los Angeles.We are always looking for a Tire and Alignment Technician to join our growing team. The ideal Candidate will have some automotive experience and has the goal to continue in the industry. Compensation: $20 - $23/hour Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performing pre-scans and battery health checks on vehicles and interpreting DTCs that need to be corrected by other technicians. (Training provided on this step.)
  • Operating dealership-owned and customer-owned vehicles safely.
  • Providing accurate and trustworthy diagnoses and repairs to maintain customer trust.
  • Performing pre-alignments on vehicles to identify needs
  • Communicating alignment, battery health, scan and suspension needs to a writer who will bill for these items
  • Performing complete vehicle alignment on vehicles
  • Using and maintaining expensive tools and equipment.
  • Photo documentation of wheels and tires, before pre-alignment to show condition, note any missing lug nuts, wheel caps, covers or hub damage, and visible tread wear issues before performing work. Photo document suspension issues, before and after repair for insurance carriers
  • Performing suspension service, axle work, wheel and tire service
  • Perform OEM procedure research, ensure following proper manufacturer procedures on suspension repairs to each vehicle
  • Handling hazardous materials, such as motor oil, coolant, and cleaning agents, in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Balancing of wheel assemblies
  • Cleaning and maintaining alignment and tire equipment
  • Uploading before and after alignment specs into software
  • Changing, mounting, balancing and installing tires
  • Inspect and rotate tires
  • Test drive every vehicle after alignment and suspension work for road feel, noise, vibration, steering control, steering wheel returns to center, etc.
  • Accessing restricted or secure areas of the dealership.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 19+ years old.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Experience with suspension and alignment work preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, keep work area clean and organized.
