Your Role: Be a trailblazer paving the way for our new title agency. Be proactive and have a business minded approach with a knack for leadership. Your main customer will be internal Loan Officers, you'll deal with unique and complex legal transactions. Dive deep into legacy title vesting scenarios and complex agricultural tracts, ensuring every detail is spot-on. This role offers the opportunity to form a team within our amazing culture, work with intricate details, and is far from ordinary.What you Need: A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field, at least 5 years of experience in the land and title industry or title agency management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential function of the job, and a Missouri Title Agent License (or the ability to get one within 3 months of hire).A Hybrid Work Environment and flexible work schedule will be considered after the initial training period is complete and based on the candidate's qualifications and needs. workload and provides assistance as neededRecommends and implements performance standards and goalsMonitors leaves of absences, evaluates, approves requested time offApproves, denies, submits staff expense reportsIdentifies training needs and timing of training25%Title Services OperationsDevelop title agency policies, procedures and processes considering the Association's related closing and escrow functions and processes.Leads title services activities including building and maintaining relationships with internal staff, vendor searchers and real estate agents.Provides direction, training, and support to team members related to title and closing processes and proceduresDevelops and prepares monthly reports to Risk Management and Executive LeadershipWorks with Vice President, Title and Loan Services to resolve title issuesMonitors reports for title services documentation25%Title Services Documentation and Closing Coordination:Process incoming files to include reviewing documents, sales contracts, lender title orders, entering data into title production software, obtaining tax information, and requesting additional title informationMay perform title searches and examinations as neededPrepares, supervises and finalizes title commitments and title policiesFacilitates and supervises preparation of grant deeds, quitclaim deeds, notes, deeds of trust, requests for notice, subordination agreements, financing statements, and the likeWorks with the Title Services, Loan Services and Marketplace in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, and encroachments)Completes settlement statements based on appropriate documentationFollows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelinesCoordinates the closing of an escrow between the principals of the escrowCoordinate with underwriters or internal legal counsel as necessary for approval of items, if requiredReviews closing instructions, escrow letters and various other documents for loan closingsCoordinates closings with Loan Services and Marketplace staffCommunicates closing requirements and confirms requirements are met15%Training Development and PresentationDevelops a plan to onboard new employeesIdentifies topics to be included QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field,5+ years of direct experience in the land title industry, title agency management experience preferredA Missouri Title Agent License is preferred, or ability to obtain a Missouri license within 3 months of hiringValid Missouri driver's licenseOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the
