The Manager of Land Records and Mapping is responsible for delivering top-quality service to RPG clients and reports directly to the Vice President of Title Services & Portfolio Management. This role serves as the primary point of contact for reviewing land surveys, legal descriptions, maps, deeds, and other documents related to property transactions for RPG clients. The manager ensures all project aspects are handled in alignment with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze surveys and legal descriptions for client property dispositions, projects, and inquiries.
- Review and assess internal client maps, deeds, and other resources related to property transactions.
- Draft and review legal descriptions.
- Conduct property records research and compile data for titles, dispositions, and special projects.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing verbal updates and reports.
- Evaluate property titles based on acquisition documents.
- Collaborate with third-party land surveyors.
- Achieve or exceed assigned goals and objectives.
- Address and resolve any additional issues as needed.
- Deliver consistently high-quality service to Rail Practice Group clients.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients' internal teams.
- Update and manage project information in transaction databases.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate or survey-related fields.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in gathering and analyzing property records and creating clear, concise reports (including text, maps, and spreadsheets).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and deed plotting software.
